Examiner Exclusive: As advocates urge for 40-day ‘fast’ from Target, report sheds new light on the retailer’s diversity initiatives

On Friday, thousands of Americans spent zero dollars in a one-day economic protest known as an "economic blackout." Led by civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton, the demonstration was a direct response to major retailers, Amazon, Walmart and Target, rolling back their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
